Categories

There are four categories of awards. Judges scoring will be going towards each category. In all judging categories, attention to detail, creativity, and the skill at which the cosplay was made will be taken into account.

Overall Winner: This category is for the competitor that scores the best in each other category. They demonstrate high attention to detail in all aspects of their costume.

Best Accessory Winner: This category is for the competitor that created the most accurate & coolest accessory. This can be a weapon, a prop, or other such item.

Spirit Winner: This category is for the competitor that showed the most spirit. We encourage Cosplayers to have a good time and truly embody who or what they are Cosplaying as.

Judges Choice: Each judge has the option to award a Judges Choice award to the Cosplayer of their choosing. Judges will base this award on their own criteria.

Prizing

All entrants will receive the “Cosplayer” in-game Title. This will be granted directly to the account associated with the competition entry.

Overall Winner: Will receive a custom merchandise box and the Cosplay Champion ‘26 in-game Title as well as the Cosplay Competition Champion Trophy.

Best Accessory Winner: Will receive a medal, and a Brawlhalla Merchandise box.

Judges Choice: Will receive a medal, and a Brawlhalla Merchandise Item.

Judging

Judges will base their scores off of the following criteria:

Spirit: Bring the energy! How much do you embody the character of your Cosplay? Is your Cosplay sneaky, or brave, or funny, and does that come across?

Craftsmanship: This category oversees all aspects of the Cosplay Costume itself, except any accessories. Attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the degree to which the Cosplay has been created by hand all play into the final score.

Accessories; Make up; Hair: This category judges props, hair, and makeup. Attention to detail and creativity weigh-in on the final score.

Lore Accuracy: The Cosplay leverages the lore of the game and there are clear influences from the lore in the final presentation.

The total combined score from all judges will be used to determine the category winners.
